안녕하세요, 저는 현재 중국 산둥성 지난시에 살고 있는 가토 나오키(Naoki Kato)라고 합니다.
Hello, my name is Naoki Kato, and I live in Jinan City, Shandong, China now.
위 사진은 저와 산둥대학에서 함께 공부하고 있는 일본, 중국, 한국 친구들이에요.
오염된 물을 마시고 이런 저런 질병에 걸려 죽게 되는 사람들,
물을 구하기 위해 먼길을 걸어가야 하는 아이들의 이야기 등을 TV에서 본 적이 있어요.
일본에서는 상상도 할 수 없는 고된 노동을 어린 아이들이 하고 있다는 것을 알았을 때에는
큰 충격을 받기도 했습니다.
그래서 이번에 캠페인에 참가하면서 평소 생각해 왔던 것들을 포스터와 사진에 담아 보았습니다.
저희가 정한 타이틀은 '행복(幸福)' 입니다.
The people in the photo above are my friends from Japan, China, and Korea,
studying together at Shandong University.
I knew about drinking water shortage problem in Africa through documentary programs on TV.
What I saw in the TV was people dying with several different diseases caused by drinking polluted water,
and children walking a long distance to find water to use for their daily life.
I was really shocked to find out young children in Africa working in an unimaginably horrible condition.
So in participating this campaign, my friends and I portrayed our thoughts
about the matter in the poster and the photos.
Our title for the campaign is 'happiness'.
그리고 밝은 분위기를 내기 위해컬러풀한 색을 전체적으로 입혔어요.
이는 저희가 캠페인 주제로 정한 '행복'이라는 테마를
이미지로 나타낸 것입니다.
만드는데 5시간이 걸렸는데요, 사실 어떻게 만들까라고 이야기 하는데에만
4시간을 써버렸어요. ^_ㅜ
그래서 한사람 한사람의 환하게 웃는 얼굴을 찍어 보았습니다.
In our poster, we first drew water, which is directly related to the theme of our campaign.
Then, we colored the poster with colorful paints to create a bright atmosphere,
to portray the image of 'happiness',which is our theme.
It took 5 hours to make the poster; actually, it took 4 hours just talking about how to make it.^_ㅜ
But in fact, I wanted to focus more on my friends' 'smiling faces'.
So I took photos of smily faces of my friends one by one.
The photos expresses the happiness we feel by helping others,
and the hope to make the people in Africa feel happy soon.
모두들 말로는 챙피하다, 부끄럽다며 쑥스러워했지만
열심히 참여해 주었습니다. :)

although at first they all said they were feeling shy:)
グローバル社会という、世界を一つに見るということが当たり前になった今、未だに他に目を向ける余裕すらない人がいるということを忘れてはいけないと思います。しかし、余裕がないから文化が自分たちより発達していないなど哀れみの目を向けることは差別と違いはないと思います。同じ血が通っている人間であり、一人一人に笑顔がある。それは先進国だろうと発展途上国だろうと同じなはずです。見下した目で見るのではなく、平等なのだから困った人たちを助けるということが一番重要なんだと思います。世界をより良くするために、これからは人と人の助け合いをテーマに掲げるのがキーポイントのような気がします。
'글로벌 사회'라 하는, 세계를 하나로 보는 것이 당연하게 여겨지는 요즘이지만 아직도 바깥 세상에 눈을 돌릴 여유조차 없는 사람들도 많다는 사실을 잊어서는 안된다고 생각해요. 그렇지만 '그들은 가난하니까 우리보다 문화가 뒤떨어져 있는 거야'라며 그들에게 동정의 눈길을 보내는 것 또한 차별과 다르지 않다고 생각합니다. 우리는 모두 똑같이 피가 흐르는, 한사람 한사람 모두 웃는 얼굴을 갖고 있는 '인간'이니까요 .
이는 선진국이든 개발도상국이든 다르지 않습니다.
업신여기는 눈으로 보는게 아닌, 우리는 평등하니까 어려움에 처한 사람을 돕는 거야 라는 생각이
가장 중요하다고 생각해요.
좀 더 좋은 세상을 만들기 위해, 앞으로 이런 캠페인들에서는 사람과 사람의 '서로 도움'이
핵심 주제가 되어야 하지 않을까 하고 생각해 봅니다.
'Global society' is a common term now, describing the world as one. However, there are still many people who cannot afford to see what's going on around them..Nonetheless, it is ethnocentric discrimination to say like, 'their culture is left behind because they are poor.' After all, we are all 'human,' who are able to show the expression of real happiness.
What is important, I think, is the thought that we should help people in need, since we are all equal.
To make a better world, campaigns like this one should have their main motif in 'helping each other' in interpersonal equivalent as well, I think.
